Women’s Self-Care Rituals for Reconnecting With Your Body

Over the past few months, I’ve been journeying with a 108-day pleasure practice a devotion to asking my energy what it needs, and allowing myself to follow what feels good.

This isn’t about sexual pleasure. It’s about putting myself in the frequency of joy, richness, and alignment, living in tune with the rhythm of life.

Recently, my body gave me a message loud and clear:

“Chantelle, you need to slow down. Massage your body. Reconnect with it.”

So I did. I pressed gently into different parts of my body, breathing deeply, connecting with my own touch, and allowing myself to feel. Within 24 hours, my whole energy shifted.

I felt calm.

Grounded.

At peace.

And then something unexpected happened.

Meeting My Grief Through My Body

As I massaged my womb and opened my heart, a memory of my nana, who had passed away only months before, rose to the surface.

I realised there was still grief quietly stored within me.

We often think grief is something we process once, but the truth is it lingers in the body until we move it through.

That night, as I slowed down and truly listened, the tears came. My body showed me what still needed to be felt. In that release, my breath steadied, my heart opened, and I could feel my whole body expand.

This is the gift of embodiment:

to bring movement to emotions that words alone cannot release.

Meditation Is Like an Ocean

I often say meditation is like the ocean

  • The rough waves at the surface are our stress and anxiety.

  • The deeper you go, the calmer it becomes.

  • At your core, there is stillness and meditation takes you there.

But sometimes, as we sit in stillness, little bubbles rise to the surface feelings we’ve stored away, waiting to be released.

That night, the “bubbles” were my grief. By allowing them to rise, I gave myself the gift of freedom, and my body softened back into balance.

Why Embodiment Matters

We all carry the imprint of past experiences in our nervous systems. Whether big or small, these moments shape us. Talking about them can help, but it doesn’t move the energy that lives in the body.

That’s why embodiment practices matter. They allow us to safely move through emotions, reconnect with our bodies, and access the joy and vitality always waiting beneath the surface.

And right now, something powerful is happening:

the feminine is rising.

She invites us into

  • More softness

  • More vulnerability

  • Emotions bubbling to the surface

  • Time and space to truly feel

  • A deeper connection with our bodies

This is the call of the feminine, its alive in all of us.

An Invitation

If you’ve been feeling the pull to slow down, to soften, to listen more deeply to your body, this is your invitation.

This is the rise of the feminine.

And it begins within you.

The feminine is the creator. She is calling you to claim back your power and lead from a place of alignment not forcing, not striving, but listening to the whisper within and acting from that place.

If you’re ready to explore this more deeply, you can begin with my free meditations here.
